Associated Engineering, Inc. and Associated Engineering & Surveying were established in 1996 and 1997. We have been providing an ever-expanding array of engineering and surveying services since our inception. Presently, AE have licensed engineers to do civil / structural engineering, in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Iowa, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Washington and California. Associated Engineering & Technology, Inc. (AET) was established and incorporated in April 1996 with its office located in Highland, Indiana. The Chicago office was opened in 1998 and licensed by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations as a design firm ( Design Firm # 184-003234 ) to practice civil, environmental and structural engineering.
Applied Soil Mechanics, Inc. in Naperville, Illinois was established by Max L. Calhoon P.E., S.E. in 1971. Mr. Calhoon is now the Consulting Engineer of the AET Chicago office since its merger in July 2002.
AET provides services in geotechnical, environmental, construction monitoring and structural engineering to public and private-sector clients. Projects include geo-technical, environmental, structural engineering and construction management services for residential developments, commercial buildings, school buildings, golf courses, roads and bridges.

Located in Gauhati, Assam, India, AEC was founded by Mr. Barada C. Medhi, B.E., C.E. in 1975 to provide professional design, land surveying and soil testing services to several government departments such as Public Works (Roads & Buildings), Public Health and Irrigation. It is a government registered Class I contractor / design firm since 1975, with its laboratory and office in Guwahati. In the past 28 years, AEC has provided soil borings, laboratory testing and geotechnical recommendations for several thousand R.C.C. bridges, buildings, commercial and other infrastructure in the entire north-eastern region of India. The office has a fully equipped state of the art soil testing laboratory and drill rigs capable of performing soil boring and rock coring in river bed formation to depths of 300 meters.
